Crack Monitoring

Crack measurements are generally taken during the inspection procedures however it may be necessary  to monitor cracks over a period of time to determine seasonal variations, progressive widening etc. Simple methods of checking movement include glass or mortar telltales which are placed over the crack and can readily be observed on a frequent basis. Avongard crack measuring devices are available which enable the crack width to be monitored and the width recorded over a period of time.
