Half-Cell Potential Testing

Half-cell potential testing is useful for predicting where the probability of corrosion of the reinforcement is high. The test is normally undertaken on a 500mm or 1m grid and equi-potential contours are plotted and colour coded to enable areas likely to be corroded to be readily identified.

Half-cell Potential testing can be used on a variety of structures from multi-storey carparks to bridges amongst many others and offers a non destructive option to determine the condition of reinforcement.
